Iranians
Per me viaggiare, lo dico tutte le volte, è riuscire in qualche modo a stabilire un contatto con le persone del posto e con il loro territorio quotidiano. Camminare ore e ore, per chilometri, senza seguire una traccia ma seguendo un percorso mentale e visivo che porta regolarmente a perdermi tra le strade e i vicoli, a trovarmi spesso solo, senza altri che non siano gli abitanti del posto.
Luoghi non turistici, le loro case e negozi, le loro strade e attività lavorative, i loro ristoranti. Luoghi privi di un vero interesse se non fosse che rappresentano la quotidianità, che per me poi è l'essenza del viaggio.
Quando a questo si aggiunge la cortesia e la gentilezza di tutta una popolazione, l'assenza di diffidenza e di pregiudizio, il percorso emotivo diventa davvero completo.
For me to travel, I say it all times, is to somehow manage to establish contact with the locals and their daily territory. Walking hours and hours, for miles, without following a trail but following a mental and visual path that leads regularly to get lost in the streets and alleys, to find myself often alone, without others that are not the inhabitants of the place.
Non-tourist places, their houses and shops, their streets and work activities, their restaurants. Places without real interest were it not for their everyday life, which for me is the essence of the journey.
When this is added to the courtesy and kindness of a whole population, the absence of mistrust and prejudice, the emotional journey, becomes truly complete.
